The Problem
Today, staying informed in Benin means juggling between WhatsApp groups, Facebook pages, radio broadcasts, word of mouth, and scattered government websites. A new law passes — you hear about it weeks later. A local event happens — you find out the day after. A job opens in your city — it's already filled by the time you see it.
Critical information gets lost, arrives late, or never reaches the people who need it most.
What We're Working On
At V-Studio, we believe access to information is a right, not a privilege. We're developing a mobile application that brings everything together in one place:
- Local news and community stories from your city
- Centralized government alerts and official announcements
- National laws and regulations explained in simple, everyday language
- Local events you can discover and register for
- Job opportunities you can apply to directly
- Places around you with reviews and ratings on an interactive map
- Community groups to connect with people who share your interests
- All of this available in French, English, Fon, Yoruba, and Bariba
