The website, created in 2021, serves as an e-commerce platform to sell clothing items such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, polos, vests, and complete outfits. It features bilingual support in English and French, catering to a diverse audience, particularly in French-speaking regions like Benin.

The goal was to build a user-friendly online store that conveys the brand's rebellious yet hopeful ethos ("Rebellious in life and style" / "Attitude and behavior, it's all about Fombo"). Key challenges included implementing bilingual functionality, ensuring mobile responsiveness for casual browsing, and integrating product categories for men, women, and unisex items while highlighting popular products and best-sellers.

  • Design and User Experience: A clean, modern interface with sections for home, men, women, brands, and best-sellers. Visual elements emphasize feline and feminine aesthetics for women, while unisex products promote inclusivity.
  • Features: Product listings with prices (e.g., T-shirts at €29.95, Sweatshirts at €49.95), categories like "Vêtements" (Clothing), and an "About" section detailing the brand's leitmotiv of motivation and hope.
  • Technology: Built as a standard e-commerce site, likely using platforms like PrestaShop or similar (based on URL structures), with secure payment integration and multilingual support.
  • Content Strategy: Snippets like "Féline et feminine adoptez le look FOMBO" (Feline and feminine, adopt the FOMBO look) to engage users.

Results

The site successfully positions Fombo as more than a brand— a movement for youth empowerment.
